CRIS Project Title: Magnitude of the Residue Analyses in Minor Crops from Experimental Applications of Pesticides
Research Goals: The IR-4 Project is a unique collaboration formed between the USDA (ARS and CREES), the land grant university system, the crop protection industry, commodity and grower groups, and EPA. As one of the IR-4 laboratories, our goal is to determine the level of residues in food crops from experimental application of pesticides. The data are submitted to EPA in order to establish tolerances for such uses. We must meet the reregistration deadlines for many uses, generate data to support established tolerances for safer, reduced-risk compounds and bio-pesticides, and generate data to support establishing tolerances for compounds important to IPM programs.
